25 years old and nothing is working for my acne, any ideas?

I am a 25 year old female suffering from acne for about 10 years now. It has been a horrible ten years as many acne sufferers could understand that I isolate myself and do not want to go out when the breakouts get bad (even makeup does not cover bad breakouts). I live in the midwest which has it crazy hot and cold months which throws a curve ball to my acne after such drastic weather changes. I have used many products over the years and some of them are listed below:

-Doxycycline & various other antibiotics
-Differin
-various Benzoyl Peroxide face washes/topicals
-Clearsil
-Clean & Clear products
-Proactiv
-Neutrogena products
-Zeno heat treatment
-Spironolactone
-SkinID
-Vitamin D
-Blue Light Therapy

The list goes on and on. Unfortunately, do to my own history of blood clots I cannot take any form of birth control which leaves Accutane out of the question. I eat healthy (fruits, veggies, grains, and the occasional sweets). I enjoy running a few times of week and work out almost every night.

I have been to three different dermatologists already along with having my thyroid levels checked which came back WNL. I am pursuing seeing a endocrinologist, but would really like to see if anyone has any other ideas.

Thanks for any input given!

Honey, little bit of lemon or lime juice, and oatmeal if you'd like. No joke, really works.

Go to a Dermatologist…. OR See your local salon and talk to a esthetician about your skin… you may be allergic to something

Occasional sweets – does that mean one chocolate bar a day? That's enough to make your skin oily and cause you to break out.

Hello Tracy! Wow what a battle you have had! I am currently using a product I ordered online its completely natural, GREAT for sensitive skin, has no harmful chemicals and has been proven to clear up the most serious acne breakouts. Its more efficient, better quality ingredients, and costs drastically less than proactive. This site also has. Hundreds of natural products, registered pharmacy and their own makeup line. I am absolutely in love with these products and refuse to use anything else!! Hoping you find some relief!! You can always email me for more information if the site below doesn't help!! I might be getting this wrong, but why is Accutane out of the question? Accutane does not control birth – the problem is with the active ingredient. If it's active ingredient (isotretinoin) comes in contact with an unborn child, it could harm the foetus, but you will still get pregnant whether on Accutane or not. If you're a woman, the doctor will actually make you sign an indemnity form beforehand where you promise to stay abstinent during the treatment.

I also had terrible acne and I tried many things, but Accutane did the trick.

Look, the thing which makes accutane so great is the isotretinoin (some people have told me it's vitamin A). What if you found a cream that was high in this chemical. I highly doubt it would filter into the blood stream and harm you and then maybe you could use it.

Some doctors believe that acne is caused by an imbalance of sebum (a secreted oil) on top of the skin. Maybe you could find a sebum inhibitor, or a cream that directly breaks sebum up.

When it comes to natural medication, I believe it has it's benefits – but only for curing mild conditions and preventing them. I think your case is too severe for natural meds, though it would hurt trying a homeopath.

Good luck…hope I helped!

I'm sorry about your skin condition :( (

It took me years to finally find the perfect product for my skin.

I settled with Loreal's pure zone. Works wonders for me.
