Are any of you using cosmetics containing Retinol?
I used Roc with Retinol and paid a "fortune" since I started. A couple days ago I found out that there is a product named Retin A available costing a quarter of my cosmetics containing Retinol.
Please correct me if I misunderstood the following link:
http://www.cosmeticscop.com/skin-care-facts-vitamin-a-retinol-cell-communicating-ingredient.aspx
Skin cells accept tretinoin (Retin A) while it's controversal if Retinol in "cosmetic products" can be broke down into tretiinoin to work.
Retin A is sold as a treatment for acne vulgaris but if I understand right it's side effect is the ultimate wrinkle killer (concernig topic solutions) but much, much cheaper than any famous brands containing Retinol.
Right or wrong? Did I get this right?
Thanks in advance.

Hi H, I have been using a retinol product for a while now which can only be sold in Pharmacies. I have also tried retin A. I find both make very little difference to the skin but are very good for getting rid of any pimples which you may have. Personally, I trie Glycolic acid products are better anti agers for the skin.
well i know that many cosmetics say that they are the BEST!.. but there really not ..
but i think that mineral powder is the best. . . look it up.
i can give you better advice then retinol A , first off all try to use good brands, second try to make healthy nutrition. i believe , to get rid of acne the first step should be exercising, plenty of water, fresh home made juices, a lot of vegetables and less sweets, acne occures mostly on oily skin, make sure you clean your skin regularly and check your hormones. so forget about retinol, it has short care, you should permanently care of ur health. i will let you to try better brand PROACTIV SOLUTIONS, its contain benzoyl peroxide, any way make sure you follow instructions. Good luck!
