Clearasil dilemna?
This is my situation. I am 16 and I have oily skin, like i mean 30 minutes after i wash my face the oil is back. I do not have bad acne if any at all. But i get mass breakouts with loads of pimples, that go away for a few weeks but return soon enough. I wash my face with Cetaphil bar soap, then i use Clearasil deep cleansing scrub, and apply rubbing alcohol and Clean and Clear deep cleaning astringent. I sometimes top it off with Neutrogena on the spot treatment cream. I am worried these products are only making it worse, I have considered stopping everything but the Cetaphil soap and maybe the astringent, but I am terrified of a horrible breakout if I stop using them. I try to drink lots of water and recently started taking vitamin B. What should i do?

yeahh, all those products cannot be good for your skin. by using so many to drain out the oil your skin is working overtime to bring it back.
I suffered from this a couple of years ago when I was still in primary school. I went to the doctors and they prescribed a special cream for me used along with cetaphil face wash. The bar soap is good for travelling but I think the face wash is definitely better for day to day use
Your going through puberty, and pimples will come and go whether you like it or not. Just make sure you wash your face regularly and you should be ok
use proactive, no it doesnt work like the commericals say it does but it keeps my face clear. when i get a pimple i put a dab of fask mask or clearasil spot treatment and leave it on overnight. it works for me.
Hun, if you're 16 then your breakouts are most likely hormonal ("go away for a few weeks but return.."), and this cannot be cured with any kind of facial regimin..
You would need to get a prescription to take in order to get them under control..
But, I've heard the proactive system they show on t.v. is pretty good.. perhaps you could look into getting that.
i am very surprised that you have any skin left – wow do you know the meaning of overkill? Just keep your face clean – Use a good cleaner that is NOT a soap because that will dry out your skin – then IF you have a break out wash a bit more and if really needed use a spot specific ointment for your pimples. But keep in mind that YOU ARE 16 and PIMPLES HAPPEN!!!!!
Hi, I had bad skin for quite awhile and cured it overnight with 99% aloe vera gel, apply it on the t-zone in the morning and night on a clean face.
Linseed powder (health food shops) is also good for cleaning out your insides, that should work too, drink enough water with this, oh and, sleep..
You need to see a dermatoligist. They will give you the correct method. Sounds like your doing more harm than good. Another way is to call a mary kay person. They have all the different formulas and are trained to know what to use. They by far have the best oily skin makeup and face treatment. Don't use rubbing alcohol! Bad stuff for the face.
that's rather nasty.
but you should buy oxy pads, maximum strength.
& you're not the only one going through that stuff
