Hi
I've tried a few different lasers. -It is pretty expensive and you need to keep having treatments. It doesn't damage your skin at all though, if anything it makes it smoother and softer.
The downside to laser though is that you need to keep having it as you will eventually break out,and you feel like you are wasting your money.
I have had both red and blue light -which doesn't hurt by the way it's just warm and very bright! You have to lay with your head under it for around 20 mins each session. The red light increases collagen and the blue light kills bacteria and decreases the oil in your skin. I have noticed an improvement in the centre of my face, its hardly oily at all (please note that i also take diane for this) and i haven't had many pimples there as a result of the blue light.
But, all around the edges of my face and my chin I still have acne. So I wouldn't recommend blue laser unless you only have a few spots that need clearing up in the centre of your face. But you never know, you may have a better result than me, i've seen pictures of some people with amazing results from this.
Other than that, if you have redness or broken capilaries on your face or other parts of your body photoderm is pretty good. -More expensive than the red and blue laser and very, very painful! -but it works.
I think the best idea would be to take something like Roaccutane (im looking into this myself) and then 6-8 months later it would be good to have the laser to clean up any redness and scarring and the red and blue light to kill any lurking bacteria and to plump up the skin. ('m pretty sure you can't have laser and take roaccutane at the same time).
So basically my answer is to start on the inside first and try something stronger that you take internally (i wouldn't recommend antibiotics as you need to keep taking them which isn't good for you) and to have laser later on.
If you are still interested in the laser options; find a skin clinic that has a free consultation and see what your options could be -but beware they may try and sell you everything from laser to botox to skin products.
I wish you good luck -I know how hard it is dealing with problem skin!
Why don't you just try changing your diet because i used to have a lots of pimples and i tried everything but nothing work.what you should not eat is sweet things like chocolate and candy. I've heard that laser can give you only few months clear skin and also it damages you skin.
