Help! Best treatment for acne and acne scars? (pics)?
Hi.
I am fairly new to this forum, and have posted around this subject a few times, but i have added a photo incase it could help.
I am a 22 year old chinese male living in the UK.
I have tried every type of off-the-shelf product available to get rid of my acne and none of it has worked.
I have lots of hyperpigmentation marks from previous spots as well as 2 or 3 new spots forming every other day, and its stressing me out, which is probably causing more spots.
I currently use 'Clean and clear exfoliating daily wash' everyday, as well as a honey/aspirin mask 2 or 3 times a week and benzoyl peroxide cream directly on new spots. I also eat fairly healthily, and take zinc and vitamin supplements everyday.
I would like to try Retin-a, but do not have easy access to a dermatologist. I asked my regular GP about what would help prevent spots, and she was pretty clueless, and just looked in her book for a solution. She prescribed me with 'Dalacin T topical lotion', which didn't work and only led to more and more spots.
undefined
I am also going to try a salicylic/lactic acid peel, which i have just ordered.
Any other advice?
Cheers

• Hey There ! I'm a dermatology student and by following this, is best way to get rid of acne scars. With all my patients I've seen some pretty horrible acne scarring completely healed. You need effective products and treatments which will heal the damaged cells in the skin. Try the following:
1) Mandelic acid based skincare treatments are BY FAR the best skincare products on the market for post acne scars. NuCelle (http://www.Nucelle.com) have the largest range, and have been clinically proven to be effective. Mandelic acid is the meant for acne scar sufferers and is the most gentle skincare product which minimizes inflammation and redness. For best results, use the serum, use the face wash, toner and moisturizer too. Also, protect your face from the sunlight and heat while you're treating your scarring, as it will quicken the healing/restoring process. For more info on mandelic acid, visit http://www.mandelicacid.net
2) Look into getting IPL (Intense Pulse Light) laser treatment. IPL is a laser treatment which works by eliminating the enlarged capillaries in your face which causes redness and scarring. It’s completely safe and healthy too !! (My 11 year old brother had it done go get rid of a scar from hockey). You can get it done at most spas or laser centers. If you have about 2-3 treatments and use mandelic acid products on your skin, your scarring and redness can pretty much go away for good !
A very natural product you can purchase for about 12 dollars is called Emu oil. Put this on your skin evey night as your retire for bed and I gareentee you will see results!!!!!!! If you want, go ahead and research this amazing oil…. search "Emu oil – benefits" I have used it and is a miracle oil!!!!!
Hey I had a friend who had severe acne and she tried several different natural remedies with varying success, what worked best for her was a product by Revitol called Acnezine. I hope that if the natural remedies I list below don't help that you will have success with Acnezine.
I also found a very good review on a natural remedy called Acne No More the review even has a customers BEFORE and AFTER picture, so maybe that is something that would work for you as well.
Spread the paste on your face, but do not scrub. It will smooth and add some moisture to your face. Curds and buttermilk are also effective for skin dryness.
Hey I understand the situation you're in when trying to get rid of acne. My friend was recently in the same situation as you and nothing was working for her until she came across this new Acne No More program. She's having great results with it now and maybe this is something, I think, could be right for you too, or at least be worth looking into it.
Hope this helps. Good luck!
My friend had similar problem and found what she was looking for at link below. I checked it out and use it myself. I'm sure you'll find it handy.
