I can't stop getting canker sores?

This has happened since I was little boy (I'm 14 now). I get canker sores ALL THE TIME. I get them in my cheeks, behind my lips, sometimes on my tongue, even on my GUMS (painful…). I get them NONSTOP too. This is no exaggeration. I get 1 or 2 at a time, and when they disappear, another pops up. IN THE SAME WEEK. They hurt so… so very bad. I cant talk or eat without biting them! They dont just happen when i bite my cheek or tongue (which they do), but they randomly pop up. I tried washing my mouth with salt and water. No. This doesnt work. My mom gets these and says to put salt directly on them with a wet finger. OUCH. I put up with the pain, but to no avail. This doesnt work either. I have orajel (an oral numbing gel) and it numbs it a little for when I attempt to eat. But it helps as much as ice can. I have a clean mouth, I brush/floss twice a day. Im vegan, but i got these before i was vegan too. I have no health problems except for acne I guess. Is there something I need to be eating? Is there something I need to STOP eating? I wont stop being vegan, so dont suggest that. I ordered some daily vitamins made for vegans (http://www.devanutrition.com/multivitamin.html ) and they should come soon, will those help? WHAT AM I DOING WRONG? Am I just an unlucky freak? My dad doesn't get these, but my mom does. Not nearly as often as me though. HELP ME. Suggestions? Treatments? Clever remarks? Thanks.
I thought only cold sores were herpes!

You need to see a doctor and tell him what is going on. He should take a blood test. It could be you have HERPES instead of just an ordinary canker sore. Herpes and canker sores are both caused by a similar virus. Each is slightly different. One is Herpes Simplex. The other is Herpes Zoster

Sounds like you're too clean. If nothing else is working try some apple cider vinegar on a q-tip. It burns like hell but it really dries out the cold sore. And if you get bored you can drink it and it tastes like paint thinner!

this is likely an immune system or salivary issue if you do indeed keep a clean mouth. these sores are caused by bacteria eating away at the lining of your mouth, and your saliva normally plays a large part in combating this. See a dentist

Use the pill called The Canker Spanker. It's a preventative.
