IPL (intense pulsed light) treatment for facial hair removal, please help!?
I had 12 sessions of IPL treatment last year but there were still stubborn hair growth. However, I had my hormone level tests done to find if i had PCOS (polycystic ovaries) but the hormonal levels were all perfectly normal. However, I had to stop the treatment because I had severe acne on my upper back and my face so I had to go on Isotretinoin (Vitamin A derivative tablet used for acne treatment). Therefore, I was not allowed to get any more IPL treatment because medicine makes skin very sensitive to burning.
However, when i started the medicine I helped me with my acne but I caused my facial hair grow back really fast.
So my question is it worth going back to IPL sessions after completing my medicine or not??? Please help
At the moment, I can only remove my facial hair by plucking because I cannot wax because I'm not allowed to introduce any foreign chemicals or heat to my skin. I can either shave or pluck, so I chose plucking at least it won't give me manly looking face

i'm not 100% sure what IPL is, but it sounds like laser hair removal. so if it is not, i apologize and can only reply for that.
it's fine to go back to IPL after you complete your medicine and are no longer sensitive. you will have to go through an entire treatment cycle again, though, as though your hair was never treated. so if you'd had 12 sessions and it was working about then, you're going to need those 12 sessions again to have it work again. am i making sense?
as long as you're willing to go through with it again, there's no reason why you cannot. but if the hair is that stubborn and did not go away after 12 treatments, you might want to try electrolysis. it is said to be the only proven 100% effective treatment for permanent hair removal. you'll need fewer sessions, the cost will be less and it should keep it away permanently.
regardless of whether IPL is laser or not, i still recommend electrolysis.
